Find Your Ring Size
The hardest part of buying online, solved — measure accurately at home in 60 seconds.
4 min read
Getting the size right is the one thing that makes online ring shopping nerve-wracking. It doesn’t have to be. Here are the most reliable ways to find your size — then match your measurement to the chart below.
The most accurate way: a local jeweler
Any jeweler will size your finger in about two minutes — usually free and with no obligation. For an engagement ring or eternity band, where a precise fit matters most, this is the surest method. Note the size and order with confidence.
Measure a ring you already own
Take a ring that fits the correct finger and measure its inside diameter in millimeters with a ruler, then match it to the chart below. This is the most accurate at-home method.
Wrap a strip of paper or string
Cut a thin strip of paper (or use string), wrap it snugly around the base of the finger, and mark where it overlaps. Measure that length in millimeters — that’s your circumference — and find it in the chart below.
US ring size chart
Find your measurement in the chart. If you land between two sizes, choose the larger.

| 4.5 | 15.3 | 48.0 |
| 5 | 15.7 | 49.3 |
| 5.5 | 16.1 | 50.6 |

Tips for an accurate measurement
- Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest.
- Avoid measuring when cold — fingers shrink.
- The band should slide over the knuckle with a little resistance.
- Wider bands fit tighter — size up a quarter for bands over 6mm.
